Just Being
"Everybody has a different perception of their relation to the Earth and you too will find it, quietly, on your own, in a place like this. You must go with an open mind and a sense of wonder and feel the subtle effects. Tune in, just sit and contemplate. We are all subject to mind chatter but getting into a state of relaxation will help you access something. By just being and listening."
~Hamish Miller
How often do you just BE at a spot in nature? Not doing, not intending, not thinking. Just Being. Feeling the sensations, hearing the sounds around you, seeing the play of light, darkness and colour, smelling the scents in air, tasting the offerings of nature. And listening to its soul, its deva or spirit. When we want to start a friendship with nature, we introduce ourselves like we would when meeting a new person in our life. And then we would perhaps ask a question about something we are curious about and listen to their answer. It is the same when communicating with Nature or a tree or a flower, etc. Only the answers come in through all the 6 senses. Perhaps by hearing words been woven into our mind. Or images, sounds, scents, tastes or feelings in our body. Or we might just suddenly 'know' things. These are the subtle energies that Nature uses to communicatie with you. We can only sense them when we just BE. Being fully present in the moment.
