Summer Solstice Ceremony at the Seed of Life stone circle – EAST
What does the Spirit of Air want us to know?
We gathered in the East on the Seed of Life stone circle which, in ceremonies, is used as a Celtic Wheel of the Year. Here, we honoured the Spirit of Air as the Wind that plays a vital role in the distribution of seeds. Without wind, nature’s airborne seeds can not spread out. Likewise we recognised the qualities of Wind as the source of Inspiration to human beings who plants seeds. Linked to ideas and mental movement that spreads out into the world. We also acknowledged how strong Winds can help stems, stalks and young trunks grow stronger. And in the same way, we, by going through our storms in life, grow stronger and let us take firmer root. We recognised these qualities.
The element of Air was invited to inhabit this temporary dwelling, made from a mason jar filled with airborne seeds and feathers that I had found earlier on this site. With this elemental jar we would have a ‘physical representation of a non-physical being’, and this could then be used in a bit of shamanic dowsing in order to ‘make visible’ how our group intent affects the energy field of the air element. To that means, the circumference of the energy field of the Air Element jar was dowsed before and after our honouring.
The merry group of Midsummer adventurers paid their tributes to the Spirit of Air with gifts and blessings of words, song and music. The energy field (imagine a spherical/toroidal aura) before our tribute measured approx. 12 meter in diameter. After the tribute, it had tripled.
Interesting to note is that a huge ‘dent’ in the auric field was dowsed at the side where a huge metal wind sculpture was standing. The metal was somehow affecting the Air element’s energy field. This unexpected find invited an exciting thought: “Can we, just by mind and intent alone, cut this influence back so the aura of the air element would no longer be affected by it?” I had no doubt in my mind that it could be done! With decidedly spoken intent, accompanied by a hand gesture as a physical vessel carrying the intent, I cut off the metal’s influence just using my imagination and focus. Renewed dowsing of the air element’s energy field showed us that it was now spherical; the dent had gone!
Air element’s gift to us was the inspiration, the idea and the gentle encouragement to BELIEVE in the power of our mind. We only need to truly believe that there really are NO boundaries to how you can influence the world around you. We don’t normally see this effect of our intention and that is where shamanic dowsing comes in. Now we have a tool to see with our own eyes how everything is interconnected, that there are no limits to the power of your mind. Creative thinking is everything! And by using it in a beneficial way, we can bless life around us, everywhere we go. You can bless your garden, the local park, your vegetables, or car. No limits.
Maybe Air Element seeded the inspiration for us to become skilled ‘World Blessers”? Let’s make this idea ‘airborne’!
